The Luxembourg Society for Evaluation and Foresight, a non-profit organisation (a.s.b.l.), was created in 2009. Its mission is to contribute to the quality of decision making by the use of evaluation and foresight techniques, and to promote the use of these techniques in public and private organizations.
Any natural or legal person interested in the mission of SoLEP can become a member upon validation of the membership request. The annual meeting, which is held at least once a year, elects a Board for a three-year term. The Board designates a president, one or more vice-presidents, a secretary and a treasurer. SoLEP Board members work in a personal capacity and on an honorary basis. In 2010, the membership fee is EUR 50 for natural persons and EUR 500 for legal persons.
In the execution of its mission, SoLEP intends to initiate, in 2010, a multi-year territorial-foresight exercise, “Luxembourg 2030” that aims at identifying the key future opportunities and challenges facing Luxembourg and its Greater region.
